Frequently asked questions - The Views Senior Living - Cedar Rapids, Iowa

Frequently asked questions

1

How do I know if I need Independent or Assisted Living?

The difference between Independent and Assisted Living are the medical care services you receive. At RidgeView our Independent residents take advantage of meals, housekeeping, linen/laundry services, wellness program, transportation to 2 appointments weekly, 24 certified staff, and valet service for those that drive. Assisted living residents get the same above services but also receive assistance with medication management, bathing, grooming, dressing and more.

Our residents always have the option of adding Assisted Living services  to their service plan at any time with out having to move.

2

Does RidgeView or MeadowView have a large buy-in fee?

No. The Views does not charge a large buy-in fee to rent one of our apartments. As a matter of fact, we also don't require a long-term lease. We have our renters sign a month to month lease agreement.

3

Does The Views accept Elderly Waiver?

The Views is unable to accept Elderly Waiver. We accept Longterm care insurance, VA benefits and private pay. If you are unsure if your insurance covers Assisted Living services, contact us and we can help you find out. Call Angie McClure at 390-7000.

4

How many apartments does The Views have?

The Views Senior Living Community consists of two buildings. RidgeView Senior Living has 44 apartments and has 2 levels. MeadowView Memory Care Village has 56 apartments all on ground level.

5

What is required if I choose to reserve an apartment?

The Views requires a minimal rental deposit to hold a particular apartment for 30 days. The deposit is refundable if circumstances change or at the time of your move out as long as the apartment is in acceptable condition.

6

What if I'm not ready to move in the next 30 days but want to be added to a waiting list?

To be added to The Views waiting list, simply contact  our Community Relations Director, Angie McClure, at 319-540-4787.
When the apartment of your choice becomes available we will call you to get first choice of moving in. If you are still not ready, we call the next person on the list and you start at the bottom of the list again.

Adding your name to the waiting list is free and offers peace of mind that you have a choice when you're ready to downsize.
